Sapphire the seal pup is improving!

PUP-DATE ! GOOD NEWS!

Our sponsored seal pup, Sapphire, is continuing to improve. He was rescued on the 4th of December, injured and malnourished, and is at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.

Sapphire is now out of the hospital and has been moved to the rehab pool. This is the last pool that he will be in before he is released.

He has learnt to compete for fish with his pool mate, Squid, and is now eating on his own. Sapphire is now a round chubby seal pup rather than a small, injured and malnourished one, thanks to the Sanctuary.

The video on the left shows Sapphire meeting Squid for the first time (Sapphire is on the right). The video on the right shows Sapphire learning to eat.

Please consider adopting a seal pup.
